Haima Automobile, under the "dual carbon" goal

By the halfway point of 2024, the new energy vehicle industry will maintain a strong growth trend, and the concept of green and low-carbon will continue to be deeply rooted in people's hearts. Raw material mining, component manufacturing, vehicle assembly, battery recycling and other links have become key to carbon reduction. As the first automobile company in Hainan Free Trade Port, Haima Automobile has taken the lead in implementing the "zero carbon emissions throughout the entire industry chain" strategy, aiming to help Hainan Province move towards goals such as "clean energy island" and "dual carbon" outstanding students.


Upstream: Building a green energy center and reducing carbon emissions in the energy sector

The green characteristics of pure electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles labeled as "green" are reflected in various aspects such as energy supply, vehicle manufacturing, and practical application. Green hydrogen, which relies on clean energy sources such as solar and wind power, does not produce carbon emissions during the entire production process. Whether it is converting solar photovoltaic power into hydrogen energy or converting wind power into hydrogen energy, both have abundant resources and conditions in Hainan.

So in the energy supply chain, Haima Automobile has built a "green energy center" upstream of the industry chain, integrating green electricity and valley electricity charging and swapping, green electricity and valley electricity hydrogen production and refueling, green electricity and valley electricity energy storage and hydrogen storage, peak shaving and valley filling, etc.

At the end of 2021, Haima Automobile joined hands with China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation to complete a photovoltaic hydrogen production and high-pressure hydrogen refueling integrated station, achieving 50 standard cubic meters of water electrolysis hydrogen production per hour, with a daily supply of about 107kg of "green hydrogen", sufficient to support the daily operation of hundreds of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, with a cost of less than 0.2 yuan per kilometer, and an annual carbon reduction effect of nearly 5000 tons. In June of the following year, the distributed photovoltaic project of Huaneng Haima Automobile, with an investment of nearly 20 million yuan, was put into operation. The project adopts an efficient "self use, surplus electricity grid connection" mode, with an annual power generation of over 5 million kWh, which can guarantee the annual electricity consumption of at least 1500 pure electric vehicles and significantly optimize the energy structure of Haima Automobile's production end.

It is reported that the two major projects are important explorations for Haima Automobile to implement the "dual carbon" strategy and an important path to achieve high-quality development. At the same time, Haima Automobile also plans to build a "green energy center" in the east, west, south, north, and center of Hainan Province to reduce excessive dependence on traditional energy.

Midstream: Build green manufacturing factories and reduce carbon emissions in the production process

Entering the middle reaches, Haima Automobile, as a national level "green factory" recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is iteratively promoting the research and industrialization of pure electric vehicles and hydrogen energy vehicles. It not only promotes the concept of green manufacturing, improves production efficiency and resource utilization, achieves zero or low-carbon emissions in the production process, but also successfully launches two highly anticipated green car models.

As the first intelligent pure electric model of Haima Automobile, the Haima 7X-E inherits the Haima 7X's super large three row space and focus on child safety, with a range of up to 500 kilometers, which can meet the diversified needs of multi population parent-child families, government agencies, institutions, and small and medium-sized business owners.

At the same time, Haima Automobile has also made significant progress in the field of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. As a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle with 14 invention patents, Haima 7X-H has shown great potential in green and environmental protection with its advantages of zero emissions, high efficiency, long range, fast charging, and recyclability. It not only has a low hydrogen consumption of 0.87kg per hundred kilometers and a range of 800 kilometers, but also can be used normally in high-temperature areas or extremely cold environments of minus 30 ℃. It is an important lever for Hainan's transportation sector to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.


Downstream: Invest in two models of Haima to serve the travel market

Currently, the "green factory" constructed by Haima Automobile is actively delivering pure electric and hydrogen powered green models to downstream markets, gradually expanding consumers' purchasing choices. The hydrogen fuel cell vehicles of the Haima Automobile family are steadily advancing their demonstration and operation work. They not only work together with Didi Chuxing to provide green and efficient ride hailing services for multiple key areas in Haikou, but are also widely used in areas such as official leasing, conference reception, appointment experience, and public science popularization. Through practical actions, this model has entered the public eye, and more consumers have personally experienced and contributed to the carbon reduction cause in Hainan Province.

It is worth noting that Haima Automobile, as the first car company in the free trade port to propose a zero carbon emission solution for the entire industry chain, has currently achieved zero carbon emissions for the entire industry chain of "photovoltaic power generation → pure electric vehicles" or "photovoltaic power generation → electrolytic water hydrogen production → hydrogen fuel cell vehicle operation". Currently, the demonstration operation project of Haima Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle 7X-H has safely and stably traveled over 6500 kilometers, successfully meeting the mileage requirements for the first phase of the fuel cell vehicle demonstration application project in Hainan Province. Haima Automobile will also launch its second demonstration operation project in the second half of 2024, and strive to invest a total of 200 units by the end of the 14th Five Year Plan to achieve full scenario demonstration operation.

The global automotive industry is facing tremendous changes, with the first half of competition represented by electrification continuing to heat up, and the second half of zero carbonization, greening, digitization, and internationalization has just begun. Hainan has abundant resources and geographical advantages for the development of pure electric and hydrogen powered vehicles, and the birth of the Haima Automobile zero carbon emission vehicle ecosystem in the entire industry chain not only provides a new idea worth learning from for the green and sustainable development of the automotive industry, but also provides an important force for building a "Beautiful Hainan".
