Hainan, as one of the provinces that have collaborated to promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and energy conservation in recent years, is currently accelerating the construction of a national ecological civilization pilot zone and striving to become a top student in the "dual carbon" work. The local first car company Haima Automobile, which was born here, is actively using practical actions to comprehensively assist.
Building hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, 'forward-looking' response to energy conservation and carbon reduction
In fact, energy conservation and carbon reduction work generally includes reducing fossil energy consumption, lowering carbon dioxide emissions, and developing green energy; From the practical application in the transportation field, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have become one of the important levers to achieve energy-saving and carbon reduction goals, which coincides with the original intention of Haima Automobile's forward-looking layout of hydrogen energy.
As one of the earliest vehicle companies in China to enter the research and development of hydrogen fuel cell passenger vehicles, Haima Automobile has been investing in and deeply researching hydrogen fuel cell vehicle technology since 2013. After years of unremitting exploration and iterative upgrades of four generations of products, Haima Automobile has welcomed its important product under hydrogen energy technology - Haima 7X-H. Nowadays, it seems more like Haima Automobile has laid the foundation for energy conservation and carbon reduction 11 years in advance, just to make comprehensive efforts when the time is ripe to help Hainan develop towards "green".
The birth of Haima 7X-H not only demonstrates Haima Automobile's technological strength in the field of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, but also fulfills Haima Automobile's commitment to sustainable development in the future. This product uses hydrogen as its energy source and generates water through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, producing electricity to drive cars. It truly achieves the goal of "draining water without drinking oil" and does not cause pollution to the environment. At the same time, its Toyota fuel cell system and 70MPa high-pressure hydrogen storage tank enable hydrogen consumption to be as low as 0.87kg per 100 kilometers, and can be refueled in 3-5 minutes. The range can reach 800 kilometers, and it can be used normally even in extremely cold environments of minus 30 ℃.
Nowadays, the actual ecological and environmental effects generated by the Haima 7X-H are in line with the energy-saving and carbon reduction tasks in the "Plan", taking the lead in taking a "key step" with the characteristics of the first automobile enterprise in the free trade port. In the ongoing demonstration operation work, Haima Automobile has invested dozens of 7X-H vehicles in the first phase, which are used to serve citizens and tourists in Haikou urban area, airport, high-speed railway station, dock, and circular tourism road, allowing them to experience green, zero carbon, and comfortable travel services. The remaining vehicles are also used in international conference reception, public rental, appointment experience, and public science popularization scenarios, further reflecting Haima Automobile's original intention of helping Hainan Province save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
Building a zero carbon emission ecosystem, strategically supporting energy conservation and carbon reduction
Haima Automobile has been dormant for many years. In addition to using sincere achievements to help Hainan respond to the task of promoting low-carbon transportation construction in the "Plan", it has also made important adjustments in its industrial layout. By continuously building a zero carbon emission automobile ecosystem for the entire industry chain of Hainan Free Trade Port, it has contributed to Hainan's efforts to become a "dual carbon" excellent student and taken another step with Haima Automobile's unique characteristics.
It is reported that Haima Automobile and Huaneng Hainan jointly built a 4.6MW distributed photovoltaic project, which adopts the operation mode of "self use and surplus electricity grid connection" to promote the development and utilization of clean energy, achieving an annual power generation of over 5 million kWh. It is connected to Haima Automobile's factory area for self use, and surplus electricity is integrated into the Hainan power grid. This is also the first photovoltaic power generation project in the zero carbon emission automotive ecosystem of the entire industry chain.
Subsequently, Haima Automobile cooperated with China Aerospace to build an integrated station for electrolytic water hydrogen production and high-pressure hydrogen refueling. The required electricity came from the previously built photovoltaic project, achieving zero carbon emissions in the entire industry chain of "photovoltaic power generation electrolytic water hydrogen production hydrogen fuel cell vehicle operation". Nowadays, the station can produce about 107kg of "green hydrogen" per day, providing strong support for the demonstration operation of Haima 7X-H, and also having significant significance for promoting the development and utilization of clean energy, ecological protection, energy conservation and carbon reduction in Hainan.
According to the plan, Haima Automobile strives to invest a total of 200 units by the end of the 14th Five Year Plan to achieve full scenario demonstration operation, create a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle operation system for the island's transportation trunk lines, and help Hainan's transportation to take the lead in entering the "hydrogen energy era". At the same time, Haima Automobile will also follow the concept of energy conservation and carbon reduction in the "Plan", fully utilize multiple projects and products such as zero carbon, near zero carbon, and carbon reduction, create a sustainable development demonstration model, and make it an important window to showcase Hainan's green and low-carbon development to the world.
