As 2024 draws to a close, the research and development of the Haima hydrogen fuel cell vehicle 7X-H has achieved multiple breakthroughs during this year. At present, the 7X-H project team has applied for a total of 27 patents, including two patents jointly applied with Toyota Motor Corporation for "fuel cell systems and vehicles", providing a solid foundation for the technological progress of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; Published 10 high-quality academic papers, many of which were highly praised by the industry, enhancing the team's influence in the field; Overcoming multiple technical challenges has provided strong support for the commercial application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
In 2024, under the leadership of project manager Yin Chunshan, the Haima Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle 7X-H project team made breakthrough progress in fuel cell system technology innovation by overcoming obstacles along the way. As of November 2024, the 7X-H project team has applied for a total of 27 patents, including 13 invention patents, 10 utility model patents, and 4 design patents. Among them, 13 patents were applied for in 2024. These patents cover multiple sub fields such as layout design, control strategies, safety processes, and energy efficiency optimization, continuously strengthening the technological barriers of enterprises. Among them, patents such as "Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Muffler Structure", "Fuel Cell Vehicle Energy Efficiency Optimization and Driving Capacity Enhancement Control Strategy", and "Fuel Cell Vehicle Low Temperature Rapid Start Control Strategy" have greatly improved vehicle performance. These achievements not only demonstrate the team's professionalism and research and development capabilities, but also pave the way for the commercial application of the Haima 7X-H.
In the invention patents applied for this year, the "hydrogen fuel cell vehicle muffler structure" effectively improved the vehicle's NVH (noise, vibration, and acoustic roughness) performance. In the field of hydrogen fuel vehicles, exhaust noise has always been a major bottleneck that restricts the driving experience. Especially under high-power conditions, the mid to high frequency noise generated by the exhaust system affects passenger comfort. In order to create a more comfortable and quiet driving space, the research and development team of Haima Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle has successfully developed a new type of muffler structure for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles through in-depth research and hundreds of experiments.
The traditional muffler has poor noise reduction effect in the mid to high frequency range and high material radiation noise. The project team innovatively used a porous dual cavity internal structure and replaced the steel shell with PP+GF material (engineering plastic), effectively improving the noise reduction performance and reducing radiation noise. Meanwhile, by optimizing the drainage design, the durability of the muffler has been further enhanced. After multiple optimizations and verifications, the new muffler has a significant noise reduction effect in a wide frequency range, and even under high-power load conditions, it still performs excellently, providing passengers with a quieter and more comfortable driving environment. This achievement not only demonstrates Haima's profound accumulation in the field of NVH technology, but also lays a solid foundation for the commercial application of Haima's hydrogen fuel cell vehicle 7X-H.
In addition to a good driving experience, vehicle range is also one of the challenges that needs to be continuously optimized. To this end, the project team implemented a multi efficiency optimization strategy, including intelligent control system regulation, advanced SOC algorithm management of power batteries, and braking and sliding energy recovery technology, significantly improving energy utilization efficiency. In addition, the project team has comprehensively optimized the fuel cell system to ensure smooth start-up and stable operation of the vehicle even in low battery conditions, resulting in the Haima 7X-H's industry-leading range and hydrogen consumption per 100 kilometers.
In March 2024, the Haima Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Operation Project was officially launched in Hainan. At present, a total of 50 Taiwan Strait Horse 7X-H have been put into demonstration operation for ride hailing and leasing, with a cumulative mileage of 600000 kilometers. The Haima 7X-H also served at the Boao Forum for Asia, Consumer Expo, and World New Energy Vehicle Conference this year, and its zero carbon emissions and high comfort characteristics have been widely recognized. On September 28th, Mitsumasa Yamagata, President of Toyota's Hydrogen Business Headquarters, and his delegation visited Haima Motors Hainan Base for exchange and highly praised the performance of the Haima 7X-H vehicle.
